Special Practices at HBC
- Vajrasattva Purification Practice (monthly – refer to our calendar)
No initiation is necessary to attend though an understanding of Buddhist principles and karma is useful. Usually held on the last Saturday of each month. The Vajrasattva mantra is a powerful practice to purify negative karma and a quick way to transform your mind. It is a kind of detox of the mind. The practice begins with a short explanation followed by several guided sessions and generous break times. This practice may be led by our resident teacher or an experienced senior student.
- Yamantaka Self-Initiation (bi-monthly – refer to our calendar)
Only initiates may attend. Those who have received a Yamantaka Initiation can do the first half of the Self-Initiation (long Sadhana). Only those who have completed the Retreat and Fire puja can do the full-length Self-Initiation. This practice may be led by our resident teacher or an experienced senior student.
- Vajrayogini Self-Initiation (bi-monthly – refer to our calendar)
Only initiates may attend. Those who have received a Vajrayogini Initiation can do the first half of the Self-Initiation (long Sadhana). Only those who have completed the Retreat and Fire puja can do the full-length Self-Initiation. May be led by our resident teacher or an experienced senior student.
