Saka Dawa is the most significant holy day in the Buddhist calendar marking the day of the Buddha’s conception, enlightenment and passing into paranirvana.

- 6:30am Precepts given by Geshe Sonam (eight vows taken for 24 hours with an attitude to benefit others)
- 2:00pm Sutra Recitation in English (great merit, drop in at any time)
- 2:00pm Set up extensive water bowls and light offerings
- 7:00pm Light offerings and Shakyamuni Buddha Puja
By donation. Offering of food, flowers welcome.
We will be collecting packaged and dry foods offered at and prior to the puja and donating them to the local charity, Food Bank, which will distribute it to those in need. Please place your donations that are suitable for this purpose in the marked box at the Centre.
