Wednesday teachings:
What Happens When we Die?
A Buddhist Prespective
Starts Wednesday 23 April to 21 May 7:30 – 9:00/ 9:30pm
Geshe Ngawang Sonam
What Happens When we Die? – What is rebirth and how does it occur? Geshe Sonam will present the Buddhist perspective to some of the questions that can arise when we question what happens at the time of death, and what happens after we die. Discover the unique system for putting Buddhist philosophy into practice contained in the lam-rim, or “graduated path to enlightenment.
Whether you are new to Tibetan Buddhism or have some background, these teachings will give you an overview of the Buddhist path, to help you understand the difficulties and happiness of our lives so we can live with ease.
These teachings, delivered by Geshe Sonam, cover the fundamental aspects of the Mahayana Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and can be a good entry point to Buddhism.
We take a short tea break during the evening, followed by Q&A. Each series of teachings are approximately 6 weeks duration.
Teachings are recorded in lieu of missed sessions, passworded and uploaded to the website. Please contact Hayagriva for the password.
Students are encouraged to help with tasks around the gompa, for example, lighting altar candles, bringing the teacher a drink.
